Pasco deputies discover mobile meth lab after driver overtaken by fumes
Pasco County authorities are investigating a mobile meth lab in Zephyrhills. Pasco Sheriff's Office deputies and Pasco Fire Rescue members responded to State Road 54 near Ryals Road for what was called in as a car hitting a pedestrian. When deputies arrived, they found the driver of the truck lying on the ground. An inspection of the truck, revealed a working meth lab inside the cab of the vehicle, deputies said. It was determined the driver, whose identity was not released, was overcome by the fumes and stumbled from the truck. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment. A one-half mile section of S.R. 54, between Ryals Road and Geiger Cemetery, was closed as authorities removed the truck from the area.
