NEW PORT RICHEY - Habitat honored as Exceptional Employer Habitat for Humanity of East and Central Pasco County was honored as a Florida Exceptional Employer by the State of Florida at the annual celebration held at Tallahassee City Hall as part of recognizing October as Disability Employment Awareness Month. Habitat for Humanity was one of seven businesses recently honored as a statewide recipient for being an exceptional employer of people with disabilities. Auto dealer Parks nominated for award Ronald Parks, dealer principal at Parks Ford of Wesley Chapel, has been nominated for the 2013 TIME Dealer of the Year award. Parks is one of a select group of dealers from across the country who will be honored at the 96th annual National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) Convention & Exposition in Orlando on February 9. The TIME Dealer of the Year award is one of the automobile industry's highly coveted honors. Recipients are among the nation's most successful auto dealers who must also demonstrate a long-standing commitment to community service. Bank networking group to meet Cadence Bank will hold a Business Development Council meeting at 8:15 a.m. Nov. 13 at the Cracker Barrel on 5341 U.S. Highway 19. Business member selection is based on specific classifications.
