Moonlighting musicians help boost local arts

Twenty-four acts participated in the 16th annual "Moonlight and Ivory" concert sponsored by the Heritage Arts Center Association. The event was held Saturday at the historic Dade City Woman's Club, 37922 Palm Ave. The matinee performance began at 2 p.m. with an art show afterward. The evening featured an art exhibition followed by the concert at 7:30 p.m. Local musicians performed a variety of styles, including jazz, classical, folk, sacred and Broadway. Proceeds from the event will fund the arts in the area, including a new $1,000 Pasco Heritage Scholarship.
