Land O’ Lakes man accused of stealing stove, dryer
A Land O’ Lakes man is accused of stealing a stove and dryer, loading them in his car and taking the appliances to a scrap yard to sell, according to Pasco County authorities. About 12:30 p.m. Monday, Jason Eric Decoeur, 29, of 7701 Delprado Court, drove to a home on Causeway Boulevard in Land O’ Lakes and broke into the residence, Pasco sheriff’s deputies said. He loaded a clothes dryer on top of his four-door Ford Aspire, put a stove in the hatch of the vehicle and then drove off, according to an arrest report. The home’s owner told deputies he saw Decoeur leaving with the items. Decoeur took the dryer and stove to a scrap yard and exchanged them for an undisclosed amount of money, deputies said.Decoeur is charged with dealing in stolen property and burglary of a residence, as well as violating his probation for grand theft and trafficking stolen property. He remains in the Land O’ Lakes Jail. Bail was set at $20,000 for burglary and stolen property charges. He has no bail for violating probation.
