A $20 scratch-off lottery ticket earned more than $2.1 million for a Zephyrhills woman.
Johnnie Wood won the top prize in the Florida Lottery’s $3 million Super Millions game and chose to receive a one-time, lump-sum payment of $2,110,952, lottery officials said.
Wood, 45, purchased her winning ticket at Right Way Foods, 38509 Courty Road 54, Zephyrhills. The retailer will receive a $6,000 commission for selling the ticket, lottery officials said.
The Super Millions game has become one of the lottery’s top selling scratch-off games since it launched March 4. It offers a dozen $3 million prizes, of which 10 remain.
For each $20 ticket, the odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 1.68 million. The $3 million prize reflects an annuity value paid over 25 years unless a winner opts for the lump-sum payoff, according to the lottery website.
The overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 2.97.
