A man already in jail facing a first-degree murder charge has now been charged in a second, unrelated killing, the Pasco County Sheriff's Office reported.
James Fitzgerald Barron, 21, of 1037 Solar Drive, Holiday, was charged Friday with first-degree murder in the Aug. 21 shooting death of Kamar Allen, 24, of Hudson, whose body was found in an open field next to power lines between Anclote Boulevard and Blossom Lake Drive.
Allen had been shot one time in the head by a .40 caliber firearm, the arrest report said.
Barron, whose occupation is listed as drug dealer on his arrest report, told someone that he had confronted Allen about robbing his mother, the report said.
Last month, Barron was arrested in connection with the shooting death of Cedric Saunders, 18, of Holiday, who was gunned down in the early morning hours of Dec. 9 at Merrilon and Wellington drives in the Holiday Lake Estates subdivision.
An arrest report said Barron later told a man that he had met with Saunders to buy cocaine but instead shot him four times with a handgun and stole 2 ounces of the drug.
Barron remains in the Land O' Lakes Jail where he is being held without bail.
