Tons of talent and beautiful babies are being sought to compete in the Showcase of Talent competition and Miss Pasco Princess and Mister Pasco Prince baby pageant during the 2014 Pasco County Fair to be held Feb 17-23.

The Showcase of Talent competition is held at 6:30 p.m. on the evening of the fair’s opening day, Feb. 17, but preliminary auditions will be held Jan. 11 at Dan Cannon Auditorium on the fairgrounds at 36722 State Road 52 in Dade City, and applications must be received no later than Jan. 10.

Applicants for the talent contest must be between the ages of 5 and 99 years of age. Solo acts must be from Pasco County. Group acts must originate in Pasco County although individual members may be from elsewhere. The entry fee for solos is $20 and for groups is $20, plus $10 per group member.

The Miss Pasco Princess and Mister Pasco Prince Pageant will be held on Saturday of the fair at the Dan Cannon auditorium. Contestants may register at the door at 11 a.m. but pre-registration is recommended. The pageant begins at noon on Feb. 22. The entry fee is $35.

The pageant is for boys and girls, and the age divisions are newborn to 12 months, 13 to 23 months, 2 to 3 years, and 4 to 5 years. There will be one winner and one runner-up in each age division, as well as trophies in optional competitions of Most Handsome and Most Photogenic. Photos must be provided with applications and will be returned. All contestants will receive participation awards. Contestants must be dressed in “Sunday best” with no make-up, tuxedos, long or glitz dresses.
