ZEPHYRHILLS — A mother attempting to keep her son from being arrested by ordering him to run from deputies was taken into custody Tuesday, according to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies went to 33627 Chancey Road just after 4 p.m. to arrest a man on a domestic battery warrant. The man’s mother, Robin Morrison, began screaming at her son, Adam Morrison, 27, to run, according to the arrest report. She then told deputies: “I won’t let you take my son,” the report said.
After her son’s arrest, Morrison, 59, told deputies she was a neighbor, attempting to hide her identity, the report said. Morrison, once identified, refused orders to go back inside her house, deputies said.
She was arrested and charged with obstructing an officer without violence. She was released Wednesday from the Land O’ Lakes Jail on $150 bail.
Adam Morrison, charged with two counts of domestic violence and one count of resisting arrest without violence, remains in the Land O’ Lakes Jail. Bail was set at $500 for the first two charges, and $150 for the third.
