The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office is searching for customers who may have had credit card information stolen at a Pasco County gas station last week.
Data from 337 cards was compromised by thieves who placed skimmer devices on gas pumps at the Hess Gas Station at 28232 SR 54 in Wesley Chapel, the sheriff’s office said.
Customers who purchased gas with credit cards on March 6, 7 or 8 at pumps No. 3 or 20 should check their statements for fraudulent charges, deputies said.
Anyone who has information or believes they may be a victim should contact the Pasco Sheriff’s Office at (727) 844-7711 or click the “tips” tab on the sheriff’s office website at pascosheriff.org.
