Dade City man sentenced to 19 years on drug, gun charges
A Dade City man was sentenced to 19 years in federal prison today on drug and gun charges. Angel Martinez, 34, pleaded guilty on April 19 to a charge of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, and possessing an illegal firearm. Martinez received 14 years on the drug charge and a five-year consecutive sentence on the gun charge, records show. According to court documents, investigators on Sept. 20 found 29 grams of meth and three firearms after searching Martinez's bedroom.In a shed next to his house, court documents show investigators found more than 250 grams of meth, two handguns, ammunition, and five digital scales.
