NEW PORT RICHEY -
The Chasco Fiesta parade didn’t disappoint throngs of spectators who lined the streets of New Port Richey on Saturday.
Leading the parade were Victoria Barley as Queen Chasco and Sandy Barley as King Pithla. They were crowned at the Chasco Coronation Ball on Friday night.
This is the second time a married couple has been selected, said organizers at Lighthouse for the Visually Impaired and Blind.
Victoria Barley, who is a Realtor, was nominated by the Youth & Family Alternatives and Senior RAP House Leadership Council. Sandy Barley, who is the operations manager at the Lighthouse for the Visually Impaired and Blind, was nominated by Rotary Club of Trinity and Youth & Family Alternatives.
The royal couple’s float was among some 140 parade units snaking along Grand Boulevard, Circle Boulevard and Main Street.
