Westchase Holiday Market to benefit Autism Speaks

The Westchase Artists Society will host its fourth annual Westchase Holiday Market benefitting Autism Speaks Saturday, Dec. 14, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Hollywood Venue in Tampa.

This new, expanded venue at 9210 Anderson Road in the AMC Veterans Plaza, will allow more than 65 local artists and vendors to bring holiday shoppers unique gifts and one-of-a-kind treasures.

The indoor/outdoor holiday market will feature original fine art, photography, pottery and jewelry along with handmade crafts and products from some well-known vendors.

One special feature of this year’s market will be a “Raffle-Palooza” offering a large assortment of gift baskets and other fine art items with 100 percent of the proceeds benefitting Autism Speaks.

Special activities available during the day include:

* 10 a.m.–2 p.m.: Santa will be visiting for pictures with the kids

* 9 a.m.–11 a.m.: Live music from Singing Tree

* 1 p.m.–2:30 p.m.: Skits and book reading for the children by Mara Fernandez, author of “Torbeo, The Kingdom of Magical Words”

* 1 p.m.–2 p.m.: Face painting by Roddy Flores with My Party Entertainment

Dale Earnhardt Sr.’s Tribute Car will be on hand all day in the parking lot for pictures. A special raffle will be held to win a chance to ride in the actual track-driven Cup car that was last on the track in Sonoma, Calif., in June 2000.
