Carrollwood Cultural Center announces new classes for fall

— When the Carrollwood Cultural Center announced “several” new classes for this fall, they weren’t kidding.

The center is offering 17 new classes in its fall program, which runs from Sept. 15 through Oct. 25.

There will be an open house Sept. 3 from 6:30-8 p.m. for all of the new classes, which include:

Voice For Beginners

Beginning Ukulele

Conversational Spanish

Italian For Travelers

French 101

French 102

Conversational English

Workshop: Maximum Living Makeover

Yoga For Two: Parents and Baby

Ragtime Rugs

Junior Jewelry Maker

LEGO Building and Programming

Troubleshooting Your Computer

Computers Made Easy


Portrait Painting With Help

The Carrollwood Cultural Center is also looking for artists for its Naturescape: Visions of Landscapes and Wildlife exhibit that will run through September and October.

The Naturescape exhibit will feature paintings, photography, draw- ings, printmaking, sculpture and ceramics of landscapes and wildlife. Prizes will be given to the top three finishers.

The art will be judged by an esteemed art critic and must be submitted to the Carrollwood Cultural Center before Aug. 29. Artists may submit three items at $15 each.
