New Tampa chamber shows off businesses in expo

NEW TAMPA – Organizers say it’s an event not to be missed.

It’s the free, open-to-the-public New Tampa Chamber of Commerce Business Exposition from 5:30 – 8 p.m. Sept. 26 at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel, located at Interstate 75 and Bruce B. Downs Boulevard.

As many as 75 area businesses are expected to participate by marketing and selling their products, some even offering discounts and giveaways.

Toast Wine & Café will feature a cash bar and Little Greek, a recently opened New Tampa eatery, will cater the event.

Other area restaurants that sign on also may offer samplings of their food and all participating business are being encouraged to hold chance drawings for merchandise. Winners will be announced during the event.

Regina Ramalheira, chamber board president and expo chairwoman, describes its purpose as twofold: First, it’s an opportunity for businesses to tout their products and second, it gives visitors a chance to see what companies in the community have to offer.

“Everyone, chamber members or not, are welcome to attend,” she said.

Booth spaces are still available to chamber members for $50 and $175 for nonmembers.

Call Ramalheira at (813) 245-8893 or email [email protected] to reserve a booth. Payments can be made online or by mailing a check to The New Tampa Chamber, 19046 Bruce B. Downs Blvd., #202, Tampa, FL 33647.

“We also want to encourage businesses to join the chamber,” she said. “We have some wonderful events and speakers at our luncheons.”
