Health clinic offers physicals, information

UNIVERSITY AREA - A free back-to-school health clinic is available Saturday for children in kindergarten through 12th grade who are entering Florida schools for the first time. The clinic will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the University Area Community Health Center, 13601 North 22nd St. It is hosted by the Back-to-School Coalition of Hillsborough County, which includes government agencies, local hospitals, social service organizations and local health care organizations. Parents or legal guardians must accompany their children throughout the clinic, and immunization records are required for children to receive free immunizations. Sports, Head Start or day care physicals are not available.  School supplies, provided by University Area Community Development Corp., will be distributed to children who receive health services. Vendors and exhibitors also will have information about health care and other programs.
