A Wesley Chapel woman and her 5-month-old daughter were killed and two of her brothers were critically injured in a single-car crash on Interstate 4 in Seffner early Sunday morning.
The infant was not in a safety seat, the Florida Highway Patrol said, and none of the other five people in the car were wearing safety belts.
According to the highway patrol, 29-year-old Ruben Molina was driving a 2008 Hyundai Entourage westbound on I-4 just after 1 a.m. when he lost control of the vehicle and it rolled onto the shoulder then across a concrete culvert.
The minivan overturned several times before coming to rest in the parking lot of Camping World of Tampa, the highway patrol said.
Amanda Lynn Osborn, 30, of Tampa, was killed and the infant girl, Madilyna Molina, was transported to Tampa General Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, the highway patrol said.
Two brothers, Ruben Molina, 9, and Elijah Molina, 7, were listed in critical condition at Tampa General. Ruben Molina, the driver, and his sister, Marialena Molinda, 26, of Wesley Chapel, were taken to Tampa General with minor injuries.
Ruben Molina and Osborn are parents of the children in the vehicle.
Investigators say alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
