Deputies ID Tampa pedestrian killed in February

The Florida Highway Patrol has identified a pedestrian who was killed last month when he was struck by a truck near North Florida and Fletcher avenues.

Officials say Albert Wade Weaver, 64, of Tampa, died in the crash on Feb, 19. He was identified after his next-of-kin was notified from out of state.

At 2:33 p.m., a 1999 Ford truck driven by Timothy Harvey Danenhower, 41, of San Antonio, Fla., was northbound on Florida Avenue south of Fletcher, FHP said. The truck was towing a heavy trailer loaded with a tractor.

Weaver began to walk across Florida and entered the truck’s path. The truck hit Weaver, who was pronounced deceased at the scene, FHP said.
