Three teens injured in Pasco collision

Three teenagers were seriously injured a collision in Pasco County this morning, the Florida Highway Patrol said. About 11:55 a.m., Kyle Hunnewell, 17, of Lutz was traveling east on State Road 54 in a 2008 Honda, FHP said. Meanwhile, William Ase, 49, of New Port Richey was driving a Freightliner van, a Pasco County School Board vehicle, west on the same road. The Honda turned left onto Sunlake Boulevard under a red turn arrow and into the path of the van, and the vehicles collided, FHP said. Hunnewell and passenger Shawn Bosley, 17, of Land O Lakes, were taken to St. Josephs Hospital in critical condition, FHP said. Another passenger, Emilio Batista, 17, of Land O Lakes, was taken to Tampa General Hospital with serious injuries.
Ase received minor injuries but did not go to the hospital, FHP said.
