Tampa's lingerie football team moves to Jacksonville
TAMPA - Tampa has lost one of its sports teams – its lingerie football team. After three seasons, the Tampa Breeze is moving to Jacksonville. In a news release, the MTV Networks' Lingerie Football League says the move was taken because the Forum owners, who also own the Tampa Bay Storm arena football league team, didn't want to compete with the lingerie league, which holds its games at the same time. The newly minted Jacksonville Breeze are expected to keep coach Yo Murphy and its players, the league said. The 2011 Tampa Breeze advanced to the Eastern Conference championship game and came within one game of competing for the LFL championship. The Jacksonville Breeze will begin play in 2013 with two home dates at Veterans Memorial Arena on March 30 and May 25.
