Welcome back, Metro section.
You've told us so many times how much you value local news. That's why every day, you find important, relevant local stories on the front page of The Tampa Tribune. After all, it is local news and information that are the lifeblood of a vibrant city such as Tampa.
That also is why, starting today, we are reintroducing The Tampa Tribune's Metro section with a focus on local news from our team of experienced, talented reporters.
And, because no one knows Tampa like our columnists Steve Otto and Joe Henderson, we are proud to bring you the insights, opinions and wit of two who are deeply rooted in your community.
Inside Metro, along with news from around the state, you'll find Business in its new location on Mondays through Saturdays, and farther back, obituaries of dear lost friends, neighbors and family. On the back of Metro every day, look for your local weather report and temperatures from around the nation.
And in case you're wondering what happened to the national and world news formerly found in the Trib2 section, those stories have been moved into the first news section.
We hope you take a liking to these changes and that you will rediscover a familiar old friend every day in The Tampa Tribune's Metro section.
