Whether you’re into landscaping, architecture, interior design or history, you’re bound to find a little bit of bliss at the Historic Hyde Park Home Tour from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
The tour of nine historic homes will highlight the walkability and urban nature of the neighborhood, known for architectural styles such as Prairie, Craftsman, Colonial Revival and Tudor. Visitors will find welcoming porches and verandas, graceful gardens and a diversity of interior designs. Local restaurants will offer tastings.
New this year, a “pop-up history center” will present original house plans, historic photos and area experts who specialize in renovation, restoration and preservation. Also, the team from the Tree-Mendous Tampa program will plant a tree and discuss how to get free trees to help conserve the city’s canopy.
