Robbery suspects arrested in Gibsonton after car chase
A car chase that started in Manatee County ended in Gibsonton early this morning after deputies used stop sticks to derail a group of robbery suspects. Manatee County deputies were chasing the suspects on Interstate 75 when they got off the highway and made their way to U.S. 41, deputies said. Four suspects were arrested near Riverview Drive and U.S. 41 after the chase ended about 4:45 a.m. Investigators arrested Timothy Jefferson, 20, Antwon Moore, 22, Demario Murray, 24, and De'Eric Moore, 17. All four are from Tampa. Jefferson, Murray and the Moores were charged with felony robbery. Jefferson also was charged with fleeing and eluding police and aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer.Details about the robbery aren't immediately available. The suspects will be transferred to Manatee County, Hillsborough County deputies said.
