BROOKSVILLE — A Brooksville sexual predator who disappeared last week was found dead Thursday and authorities believe he was the victim of foul play.
The remains of 60-year-old Larry W. Williams were found within Hernando County, the Sheriff's office said. On Tuesday, they found Williams' 1996 GMC Yukon in an undisclosed area. While it is early in the investigation, deputies said Williams was the victim of foul play.
The search began Saturday when authorities say he left his residence at 11811 Broad St., drove to Mondon Hill Road and cut off his ankle monitor before tossing it into the woods. He also gone by the names Larry Gene Williams and Larry John Williams.
According to records, Williams was on probation after he was convicted on charges of sexual battery of a child in 1999 and 2011.
