Deputies: Riverview home invasion suspects used stolen debit card at Walmart

RIVERVIEW — Hillsborough sheriff’s deputies are searching for two armed home invaders who robbed a house on Wednesday night.

Both armed with rifles, they entered a home on Stoner Road through the back door just before 11 p.m., according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

They held the victims gunpoint and demanded cash. One of them fired a gunshot before both drove away.

A few hours later, deputies said a man and woman were caught by surveillance cameras using a debit card taken during the robbery at the Walmart on 2701 E Fletcher Ave. They drove away in a sport-utility vehicle, possibly a Dodge Durango, deputies said.

One of the gunmen was described as a black male, between the ages of 20-30, about 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-10 tall and weighing 160 to 180 pounds. He has a goatee and was wearing a blue checkered jacket and white pants.

The second person was described as a black woman about 20-30-years-old, between 5-foot6 and 5-foot-8, about 120 to 140 pounds, wearing glasses, a multi-colored dress and gray jacket.

Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information leading to the identification and arrest of the two people sought in this case.
