Police identify victim in fatal Pinellas Park crash

PINELLAS PARK — A 53-year-old Pinellas Park man died in a four-car collision Saturday morning at the intersection of U.S. 19 and 70th Avenue N.

Timothy Fitch flew out the open window of his Ford Explorer and later died at Bayfront Hospital.

Jasmin Gonzalez Jimenez, 22, of Pinellas Park ran a red light at the intersection just after 7 a.m., according to the Pinellas Park Police Department. Her Hyundai Tucson hit the Explorer, which was driving west through a green light, the agency said.

The Explorer, carrying Fitch and his 20-year-old daughter Kelly Ann Fitch, rolled over and struck two other vehicles. Kelly Ann Fitch suffered minor injuries. The drivers of the two other vehicles were unharmed. Jimenez suffered a broken a wrist.

Timothy Fitch was not wearing his seat belt, police said.

No criminal charges are pending, authorities said, but a citation is pending with the completion of the accident investigation.
