The incident took place around 9:21 p.m. that night.

Police say that Stephanie Brown, 26, of St. Petersburg, was driving a 2004 4-door Cadillac westbound in the middle lane on 62nd Avenue N on Monday night 9:10 p.m. as Napier was riding in the west crosswalk at the intersection of 16th Street N.

Brown was approaching the intersection and had a green light when Napier rode into her path, police said.
