TAMPA — A portion of North Florida Avenue is closed in downtown Tampa as TECO crews repair downed power lines after a crash late Wednesday night.
The crash occurred around 11:35 p.m. at the intersection of N Florida Avenue and E Fortune Street, according to Tampa police.
The road was closed between E Harrison Street and E Scott Street after an electrical pole was struck, resulting in downed power lines and limited power, police said.
Crews are on site to repair the lines, police said, and motorists should find alternate routes, police said.
The roadway is expected to reopen around 9 a.m., police said.
