Deputies: Zephyrhills bank robbed, suspect flees on bicycle

A Suntrust Bank in Zephyr-hills was robbed early Thursday afternoon, according to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.

At 12:50 p.m., deputies said, the man walked into the bank at 34511 State Road 54 and presented a note demanding money, though he did not show a weapon. After taking the money, he fled by bicycle.

Authorities have not said how much money was taken.

The suspect, who has yet to be identified, is described as a man in his early 20s, standing about 5 feet tall and weighing 110-120 pounds. He may have a goatee or beard and wear a black knit cap.
