DADE CITY — Smoke billowed across Lee Avenue Tuesday morning after a structure fire burned down a single-family home, according to Pasco County Fire Rescue.
At about 8:20 a.m., authorities received a call reporting a home on fire in the 15300 block of Lee Avenue. When firefighters arrived, the home was engulfed by flames.
Firefighters got the blaze under control after about 20 minutes, authorities said. Authorities reported two nearby homes in danger from the heavy smoke and flames, but they were spared.
The home was vacant at the time. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire was under investigation Tuesday, according to authorities.
