Pleasant forecast being carved up for holiday, weekend
Pleasant weather should make traveling nearby or anywhere in the state a little less nerve-racking Wednesday – the busiest travel day of the year. If you are traveling in Florida, expect some clouds and some showers, but don't expect constant rain, said Steve Jerve, News Channel 8 chief meteorologist. "It could be better but it's not going to be an all out rainout," Jerve said. In the Tampa Bay area, there is a 20 percent chance of rain on Wednesday. The high will be 80 and the low 70, Jerve said. For the rest of the country, it's a different story. Rain is expected in the Northeast and the Carolinas on Wednesday. The Midwest, including Chicago, will be sunny but feel a bit cool for Floridians, Jerve said. Thanksgiving Day should be wonderful in the Bay area, with highs in the mid 70s and lows in the upper 50s, Jerve said. The good weather on Thanksgiving will continue into Black Friday, the biggest shopping day of the year. "If you're going to sleep out at Best Buy you don't even need a tent," Jerve said. The weather gets a little warmer on Saturday and Sunday. The high for Saturday should be 80 and the low 62. On Sunday, the high will be 81 and the low 64.
