A Request For Community Columnists

Applications are being accepted for The Tribune's 2007-08 Board of Community Columnists.

We're looking for 16 interesting people of all ages and stripes to write a monthly signature column for the opinion page. There is no pay, other than a podium in the nation's 13th-largest media market. But if you enjoy writing and expressing an opinion, here's your chance to be seen and heard.

If you're interested, send us a letter telling us something about yourself. Include two columns of about 500 words, a head-and-shoulders photo and the following information: your name, mailing address, home phone number and e-mail address, if you have one.
