Officials: Polk student, 11, brought butcher knife to school
A fifth-grade Polk County student in Polk County was detained this morning after officials say he brought a butcher knife to school. The 11-year-old from Inwood Elementary School was taken to Polk County Juvenile Assesment Center after the knife (described as more than 8 inches long with a wooden handle) was found in a book binder when approached by officials.
