CASH NOT BRIBES, OLMERT SAYS
JERUSALEM - Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said Thursday he had taken contributions from Long Island, N.Y., businessman Morris "Moshe" Talansky starting in the 1990s, but that they were legitimate campaign funds, not bribes, and that he would resign if indicted as a result of a developing investigation. Olmert received the money when he was mayor of Jerusalem and later as minister of industry and trade.
