Hogan Family Hires Specialist In DUI Cases

CLEARWATER - The family of Hulk Hogan has retained a Clearwater lawyer who specializes in criminal defense and driving-under-the-influence cases now that Hogan's son faces investigation in a wreck that left a friend critically injured.
J. Kevin Hayslett confirmed Tuesday that he is representing the family of the wrestling superstar but declined further comment.
Hogan's son, Nick Bollea, 17, was driving a Toyota Supra on Sunday night when the car veered off Court Street and struck a palm tree, Clearwater police have said.
Excessive speed was a factor in the crash, police said.
Bollea was treated and released, but passenger John Graziano, 22, remained in critical condition at Bayfront Medical Center on Tuesday, a hospital spokeswoman said. Graziano, a Marine, returned from Iraq last year, family members said.
Bollea has been cited four times for speeding since he got his license in July 2005, according to Florida's Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles records. In two of the cases, adjudication was withheld, the records show.
In Osceola County, he was cited for traveling 106 mph in a 70 mph zone, the records state. Pinellas County court records show that on Aug. 10 he was cited for traveling 82 mph in a construction zone while workers were present. The posted speed limit on that stretch of U.S. 19 was 45 mph.
