Manatee deputy crashes patrol car, injures 2 others
MANATEE — A Manatee County deputy totaled a patrol car and hospitalized two other drivers with minor injuries after authorities say she failed to stop for a red light. The Manatee County Sheriff's Office reports that the deputy had just looked up from her work-issued computer Tuesday afternoon when she rear-ended one vehicle and pushed it into another one. Both of the other vehicles had been stopped at a red light. The deputy reported the brakes of her car were not working properly. The Bradenton Herald reports that all occupants were taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
