Man seriously injured in 40-foot fall from John's Pass Bridge
A 31-year-old man was seriously injured after falling head-first 40 feet from John's Pass Bridge onto the concrete structure below on Friday night, deputies said. Joseph Schleg, of Pinellas Park, was fishing on the bridge about 10:45 p.m. As he walked along the bridge, he apparently did not see an opening along the bridge catwalk and fell through, deputies said.
