One dies as fire destroys Riverview home One person died in a fire that destroyed a Riverview home Thursday morning. Firefighters responding to the blaze at 13918 Raulerson Road discovered flames shooting through the roof and were unable to enter. Firefighters confirmed the fatality after the fire was extinguished. The name, age and gender of the person were not released.
Neighbors called 911, and one knocked on the door but got no response. They say one person lived in the house. Firefighters were investigating the cause of the fire. Man sought in foiled child abduction in St. Petersburg St. Petersburg police were searching for a man who tried to abduct a 13-year-old girl as she was walking home from school on Tuesday. The girl was walking south on 31st Street about 4:45 p.m. when she passed a vacant home where two men were on the porch at 601 31st St. S. One of the men grabbed the girl and dragged her toward the home. A third man who saw the attack ran to the girl's aid, pushing the suspect and yelling at him to let the girl go, police said. Pair sought in altercation at Tampa Walmart Tampa police are seeking help in finding two armed suspects who robbed a Walmart on Wednesday. Police say that after midnight, the suspects, a man and woman, attempted to conduct a fraudulent return after shoplifting items from the store on 1505 North Dale Mabry Highway. A struggle ensued and the couple fled. They were last seen at the Himes Avenue exit to I-275. Anyone with information is asked to call (813) 231-6130. Thief steals woman's jewelry in Winn-Dixie parking lot Hillsborough County deputies are searching for a man they say robbed a woman in the Winn-Dixie parking lot at Bearss and Livingston avenues in the University Area. On Wednesday about 5:45 p.m., surveillance video showed a male suspect following the victim into the parking lot after she paid for her groceries. As the victim walked to her vehicle, deputies say the suspect approached her from behind and grabbed four gold chains from around her neck. He fled in an older, light-color SUV.
