TAMPA Ben T. Davis (South) Beach is under a health advisory after environmental officials discovered high levels of bacteria earlier this week. Visitors are urged not to swim in the waters there until further tests, to be conducted Monday, indicate levels are within safe ranges. The water is being sampled forThe water samples are being analyzed for enteric (enterococci) bacteria, which may cause human disease, infections, or rashes. The presence of this bacteria is an indication of fecal pollution, which may come from storm water runoff, pets and wildlife, and human sewage.
