Golf Channel adding jobs in Orlando HQ expansion
ORLANDO - Florida Gov. Rick Scott is hailing a decision by The Golf Channel to expand its worldwide headquarters in Orlando. Scott on Tuesday visited the cable network operation, where he announced that the company is consolidating its digital media operations for its GolfChannel.com and GolfNow.com websites. The move is expected to create at least 75 jobs. The Golf Channel is getting state financial incentives in connection with the expansion. It has been approved for nearly $600,000 in incentives and has also been approved for a $112,500 training grant from Workplace Florida.Scott on Tuesday also announced the expansion of Aveo Engineering in Flagler County. The aerospace company plans to a design and manufacturing facility in Flagler County that will create 300 jobs.
