Fifth person arrested in Doty death

Another person has been arrested in the slaying of Aaron Doty last month, bringing the total arrested to five, the Highlands County Sheriff's Office said today. Travis Makris, 21, of Sebring, is charged with accessory after the fact in the death of Aaron Doty. He is alleged to have stored clothing and other evidence for one of the suspects, Kenneth Felipe. Doty, 20, was last seen at a party at 5504 Granada Blvd. in the Sun 'N Lakes subdivision in Sebring on June 10. Early on June 11, a burned body was found in the north end of the subdivision and was confirmed to be Doty. Arrest warrants for second-degree murder, abuse of a dead human body and tampering with physical evidence were issued for Filipe, 19, and Jonathan Ray Rodriguez, 22, both of 5504 Granada Blvd., Sebring. They were arrested June 13 by the U.S. Marshal's Service Task-Force in Orlando.
Felipe's girlfriend Nicole Hebert, 20, of 4400 Lewis Ave, Sebring, was charged Tuesday as an accessory after the fact to a first-degree or life felony after allegedly transporting the two suspects out of the county to Orlando, according to sheriff's spokeswoman Nell Hays. Adriana Rodriguez, 21, of 2424 Pinewood Blvd., Sebring, was charged today with tampering with physical evidence. Rodriguez knowingly cleaned Doty's blood off of bedroom walls, after she knew there had been a fight involving Doty, Sheriff Susan Benton said.
