Gov. Scott signs bill to aid special needs students
TALLAHASSEE - Gov. Rick Scott has signed a bill that will give parents of special needs students more say in their education. The bill signed Friday gives parents a greater say in shaping the curriculum and individual education plan for their special-needs children. The new law will take effect Monday. It also ensures that students with disabilities have access to the professionals and resources that will best serve them.The measure was sponsored by Republican Sen. Andy Gardiner or Orlando.
