Two suspects sought in Sarasota home invasion
Sarasota authorities are searching for two suspects involved in a Saturday night home invasion robbery in which a man was hit in the head with a weapon. Just after 11 p.m. Saturday, two armed men made their way into a home in the 3800 block of Rima Avenue, according to the Sarasota Police Department. The men demanded money and other items. Before leaving, one of the suspects hit a male victim in the back of the head with a weapon, causing a cut. A description of the weapons used was not released by police. Another male and a female inside the home at the time of the robbery were not harmed, police said. It is not known if this home invasion is linked to a similar robbery that took place Saturday in the 1200 block of 38th Street.
