Tampa teenager charged in fraudulent Visa card scheme
A Tampa teenager faces dozens of charges after he used personal information he found on his motherís work computer to receive 22 Visa debit cards. Devonte Courtney Jackson, 18, of 4541 Ashburn Square Drive, Tampa, is charged with trafficking in counterfeit debit cards and 41 counts fraudulent use of personal information. He is a student at Armwood High School in Seffner. Jackson told investigators that between Feb. 13 and May 13 he found personal identification information on the computer his mother uses with her employer, Ace Home Care, according to the sheriffís office. He would take the information, complete Visa applications and have the cards sent to his friends' homes. Deputies learned that Jackson had 22 fraudulent credit cards and found the bag of cards at his home.Jackson is being held on $89,500 bond.
