Tampa police seeking man who shot pedestrian
Tampa police are searching for a man who shot a pedestrian Thursday evening. According to a report, at 6:38 p.m. the victim, a 55-year-old man, was walking at North 53rd Street and East Broadway Avenue when the suspect got off a bus and approached him. The two exchanged words, after which the suspect took a gun out of his waistband and shot the victim once in the hip. The suspect, who the victim does not know, then fled on foot. The victim was taken to Tampa General Hospital and is listed in stable condition, police said. The suspect is described as a white man, approximately 30 years old. He was wearing a black and gray striped shirt, green pants, glasses, and a black backpack.Anyone with information is asked to call the Tampa Police Department at (813) 231-6130.
