Tampa mother accused of breaking daughter’s arm
A 29-year-old mother was arrested Thursday at her Tampa home for fracturing the arm of her 4-year-old daughter, according to a Hillsborough County jail report. Nicole Williams, 29, is being held in a Hillsborough County jail on a charge of aggravated child abuse with no bail, according to jail records. Williams told investigators that she drove from her home to day care with her daughter. When they arrived, the girl was “holding her arm, crying and at times screaming,” according to a criminal arrest report. Daycare employees thought her shoulder was dislocated.The child was taken to Tampa General Hospital, where doctors discovered she had a fracture “where the bone is separated from the shoulder ball,” according to the arrest report. The child told investigators that Williams twisted her arm in the car as they headed to day care, the sheriff’s office said.
