Hillsborough County deputies are seeking the suspects in a Riverview home invasion Thursday night.
Deputies say two or three men entered the home at 11200 Tucker Rd. around 10 p.m., while a 29-year-old woman and 13-year-old boy were sleeping.
Deputies say the suspects tied up the victims with rope and took them into the living room, where they waited for Charles J. Sanders, 60, to arrive back home.
When Sanders arrived, the suspects struck him in the head with an object and tied him up, then ransacked the house for money and left in Sanders’ 2002 silver Chevy Astro with missing headlinghts, deputies say.
One of the victims was able to untie themselves and called 911 just after midnight, deputies say.
A search is ongoing for the suspects (possibly Hispanic), who were last seen wearing dark clothing and masks, deputies say. At least one is believed to be armed.
Christina Weber and the teen victim were not injured, while Sanders was treated at the scene for lacerations to his head, deputies say.
Detectives do not believe this was a random act.
