Suspects sought in Lake Wales weapons theft
Polk County sheriff`s detectives are asking for the public's help in investigating a Lake Wales residential burglary during which several weapons were taken. Between Friday and Monday, unknown suspects broke into a home in the 200 block of Canal Drive in Lake Wales and removed furniture, electronics, ammunition, a bullet-resistant vest and the following firearms: Blue steel .45-caliber Smith and Wesson 1911 handgun Black 9 mm Glock Model 26 handgunBlue steel .357 Taurus handgun Black .45 Colt 1911 handgun with a brown grip and silver scope Nickel-plated .22-caliber handgun Black Bushmaster AR-15 Black, unknown model AR-15 Black 12-gauge Mossberg shotgun Brown-and-black 12-gauge Remington shotgun Anyone with information in the case can remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward by calling 1-800-226-TIPS or log onto www.heartlandcrimestoppers.com and submit the tip.
