Suspect in 2007 New Jersey slaying arrested in Polk
A suspect in a 2007 New Jersey homicide was arrested Wednesday in Kissimmee by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. Six years ago, a woman and her baby were shot while they slept in their Cumberland County, N.J., home, officials said. The woman died and the child was paralyzed, officials said. Detectives recently identified Raymond A. Finch, 34, as the suspect and a warrant for his arrest was issued, officials said.U.S. marshals in the New Jersey area alerted colleagues in Florida that Finch might be in Kissimmee, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office said. On Wednesday morning, U.S. marshals and Polk deputies located Finch at 317 Anchovie Court. He was taken into custody without incident booked into the Polk County Jail, where he will await extradition to New Jersey.
