St. Pete police seek gunman after argument ends in shooting

Police said they are looking for an unidentified gunman who shot three people after an argument late Thursday in south St. Petersburg.

Damian S. King, 38, Michael Alexander, 32, and a 17-year-old girl were in serious but stable condition Friday morning at Bayfront Medical Center with gunshot wounds, police said.

About 11 p.m. Thursday, King and Alexander got into “heated” argument with the unidentified male on the 1600 block of Russell Street South, police said.

Alexander produced a firearm and shot into the ground, police said, and the unidentified male then pulled a gun and returned fire, striking King, Alexander and the teen.

Detectives are in the process of identifying the gunman and locating the weapon.
