Silver Alert issued for St. Pete man

Update: Pinellas County deputies said late Wednesday that Edward Taylor was located at a restaurant in St. Petersburg. He has returned to his home and is safe and unharmed.



A Silver Alert has been issued for a St. Petersburg man who went missing this afternoon.

Edward Taylor, 89, 2424 50th Ave., Lot 68, St. Petersburg, was last seen about 12:30 p.m. He left his home in a white four-door 1996 Lincoln Town Car with Florida license plate I316IB. to go to the Winn-Dixie in the area of 4th Street and 62nd Avenue in St. Petersburg.

Taylor is considered endangered because he may be suffering from the onset of dementia and is diabetic. He may not have his medications.

Taylor is a white male, 5-foot-10 and 180 pounds. He has green eyes and gray hair. He was last seen wearing light blue pants and a blue shirt.

Anyone with information on Taylor is asked to contact their local law enforcement agency.
